Our New-to-Industry training covers everything you need for your service team to operate effectively and safely within the Solar and Battery Storage industries. Our piece meal ready-to-order style can fit any size team and their constantly changing schedule. Our proven programs can take a New-to-Industry technician with little to no experience and prepare them for the challenges of working in the field.
This module equips participants with the skills to recognize and respond to cardiac arrest and medical emergencies in a utility-scale PV power plant setting, including performing CPR, using an AED, administering basic first aid, and ensuring safety through proper use of protective equipment.
Participants will learn to identify electrical hazards in PV systems, apply Lockout/Tagout procedures, use and inspect appropriate PPE, and understand the responsibilities of a Qualified Electrical Worker.
Through hands-on activities and practical demonstrations, participants will gain a solid understanding of site safety protocols, including fall protection, fire safety, emergency planning, and hazard mitigation specific to utility-scale solar projects.
Develop a foundational understanding of electrical theory and apply it by designing and testing simple circuits, measuring voltage, current, and resistance, and identifying key components used in renewable energy systems.
Skills covered include proper selection, inspection, and use of digital multi-meters, performing key measurements like voltage and continuity, and executing safe testing procedures such as the “Live-Dead-Live” test.
Covers the identification and hands-on servicing of key PV system components, including modules, trackers, and inverters, with a focus on safe work practices, wire management, system maintenance, and understanding common failure points.
Provides foundational knowledge of fastener theory and hands-on training in proper torque wrench use, fastener identification, and preparation of high-current electrical connections, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and documentation.
